Sripatum University


The university places importance on creating an academic environment that are conducieve to learning at the university level. There is a state-of-the-art library and a well-eqipped Piyachart Multi-Media Center that provide resources for self-learning and professional development in the film and broadcasting industry.
The university places the highest priority in recruiting qualified instructors. A faculty member in an undergraduate program must earn a master degree from an accredited university and must have the necessary instructional skill and professional experience to teach, guide and supervise students in learning and extra-curricula activities.Lecturers at the postgraduate level must have professional experience and a doctorate degree.
The university encourages faculty members to further their education by providing scholarships for master and doctoral studies both in Thailand and abroad. As of June 2002, there are more than 100 faculty members awarded scholarships furthering their education in higher learning institutions across USA, UK, Australia, and Thailand.
Faculty members and staff are also encouraged to take part in training and seminars and to conduct research. This is to encourage university personnel to update their knowledge and set a good example to students in professional development.
The university realizes the importance of globalization. In 1997, the Ministry of University Affairs approved the International Business Communications curriculum in the International Business Program. SPU cooperates with many universities in the United States, Australia and Europe in the student/faculty exchange program, in joint academic development. Sripatum International College

Sripatum University, one of the finest private universities in Thailand, was established in 1970 by the name "Sripatum College". This name was given by HRH the Princess Mother. In 1987, the college was promoted to universsity status by the Ministry of University Affairs, and has since been known as Sripatum University. From then on, the university has expanded to three campuses; Bangkhen and Phyathai Campuses in Bangkok, and the one in Chonburi Province near the country's EasternSeaboard. In March 2002, Sripatum University has reached another key milestone for being accredited by the International Standards Organization (ISO 9001:2000). al conferences.
